Beginning

Greeting. I wish you a happy day. Acquisition with the aims of the lesson. Learners will be able to: (on the board) 1. name the musical instruments 2. to understand the main idea of the text they will listen 3. to speak about the rock band Ulytau 4. talk about family entertainment. Warm up. «I know the words». All the students are standing and watching the presentation. If they know the word, they answer and sit down. Revision. (Checking up hometask) The learners listen to music and try to guess the band. (Ulytau). They answer the questions about this band in pairs: 1. When did the rock band Ulytau start? 2. What does their name mean? 3. How many members are there in a band? 4. What can you say about Maxim Kichigin? 5. Whom did he meet in 1998?What idea did he have? 6. Who plays the violin and the keyboard? 7. Who plays the dombra in the band? 8. Who plays the drum and the bass guitar? 9. When did they produce their first album? 10. Work in groups Make a cluster on the topic “Family entertainment”. What do you do together with your family? How often you spend the time together? Do you like spending your time with your family? Use the phrases: Play computer games, Go to the amusement park, Spend time communicating Watch and discuss films, Participate in sport together (Play football, volleyball, skiing, skating) Go to the swimming pool Visit your relatives Read and discuss books. Differentiation. Less abled students are given the cards, they make up the sentences with the given words.   Handout 4 After some discussion the groups represent their works. The other groups assesses by the descriptor
